Meet Our Staff (five-to-one pupil to instructor ratio)
Our golf staff consists of college coaches, PGA professionals and current or former college players who serve as camp counselors.
Each member of our staff is a dedicated student of the game of golf with experience instructing juniors. We have selected each staff member not only because they are excellent players but for their proven ability to teach golf and relate to campers.
Our instructors all enjoy working with junior golfers at Offense-Defense. They devote long hours on the practice area and on the course, and spend additional time each evening throughout the camp analyzing each camper's game and preparing individually and as a group for the next days instruction. Our staff is there for our campers; morning, noon and night.
Meet Your Camp Director
Scott Moyer, Director of Golf and men’s coach at McDaniel College, has led the Green Terror to five NCAA National Championship appearances, and has won several conference Championships, including the 2005 and 2006 titles.
An active member of the Golf Coaches Association of America, he also serves as the Director of the National Golf Coaches Academy and directs Nike Junior Golf Camps in Williamstown, Mass.
A heavily sought instructor, Moyer has worked with some of this country’s top amateur players, as well as those from South Africa, France, Canada, and South Korea. His collegiate players and/or students have won numerous conference and collegiate tournaments. They have also gone on to compete at every level of golf competition, including the PGA Tour, U.S. Open and British Amateur amongst others.
Under Moyer’s direction, McDaniel has produced more all-conference, all-district, and All-American golfers than any other program in the region.
Joining Scott is longtime Offense-Defense instructor, Dick Fitzgerald. "Fitz" is a PGA teaching pro at Scotland Yards Golf Club in Dade City, Florida and a junior golf association staff member and rules official. He specializes in teaching, tournament management and the rules of golf. He presently serves at PGA 'Q' School and is a certified P.A.T. examiner.
The remainder of the Offense-Defense staff is comprised of other teaching professionals and coaches, including Coach Moyer's Assistant Director, Bob Zadrozny, and current/former collegiate golfers who serve as counselors during all three weeks of camp.
